Engaging the New Testament

Bringing Ancient History & Modern Scholarship to Life

On Engaging the New Testament, we'll explore various aspects of the New Testament, early Christianity, and their ancient Mediterranean context. Here you'll find interviews with the experts, book reviews, and commentary on various aspects of the New Testament and the ancient Mediterranean world of the early Roman Empire, Second Temple Judaism, and early Christianity. Our goal is to entertain and inform you in ways that enhance your understanding and appreciation of the New Testament and early Christianity. The host, Christopher Marsh, is a ThM student in New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. His research focuses on the social and literary contexts of Paul's letters. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and has led music at several local churches. He seeks, whenever possible, to connect his study of scripture to his passion for the creative arts, poetry, and music.
